The Smith family has been raising Lowline cattle since 2005. The business as started when we bought a few lowlines for our kids to show in 4-H. the lowlines are easy to handle and are very manageable. With their docile disposition and easy calving ability we started breeding our angus heard to a full-blood lowline bull. Most birth weights are in the 40 pound to 50 pound weight range. Lowline b
ulls are great for heifers. Smaller calves reduce likelihood of an assisted birth or of calf loss.
Known for being docile, the breed is extremely tolerant of children. The lowline breed is 70% the size of other breeds, but still provides excellent beef cuts.
